Adamscourt Care Home is a well-established, highly respected local care home that specialises in caring for people living with dementia.
We are situated in Talbot Woods, Bournemouth, and have been running for over 30 years.
Adamscourt is part of the Vauxian Care Homes Group. Being part of a group, means the team have access to a broader network of knowledge, experience, training opportunities and resources.

Supporting the transition into a care home
We recognise that a move to a residential home can be a difficult one, not only for the resident but also their families. Prospective residents are invited to spend the day with us prior to joining Adamscourt, have lunch, spend time with our other residents and generally get a feel for the home. This allows the person and their family to make an informed choice and gives time to ask questions and seek further relevant information.
Philosophy of Care
Adamscourt Care Home aims to provide its residents with a secure, relaxed, and homely environment in which their care, well-being and comfort is of prime importance. Our Carers strive to preserve and maintain the dignity, individuality and privacy of all residents within a warm and caring atmosphere, and in doing so will be sensitive to the residents ever changing needs.
Such needs may be medical/therapeutic (for physical and mental welfare), cultural, psychological, spiritual, emotional and social and residents are encouraged to participate in the development of their individualised Plan of Care, as are family and friends where appropriate.
This will be achieved through programmes of activities designed to encourage mental alertness, self-esteem, and social interaction with other residents and with recognition of the core values of care which are fundamental to the philosophy of our home.

Open communication & family support
We promote and foster good relations between the residents, relatives/friends and staff at Adamscourt, by open communication and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere awaits any visitor. We believe in supporting both residents and their families during what can be a challenging time as dementia can bring many complexities and changes.
