Award Nomination - Dorset Care Awards 2025

We are delighted to announce that Adamscourt Care Home, as part of Vauxian Care Home Group, have been selected as a finalist in the Innovation in Best Nutrition & Hydration Support category in the Dorset Care Awards 2025. The award organisers confirmed "We received a large number of nominations for the Dorset Care Awards so to be selected as a finalist is a fantastic achievement!" The winner of the awards will be announced on Friday 16 May 2025 at the Dorset Care Awards Gala evening.

We are so proud of the team and what they have achieved. Fingers crossed we win!

Vauxian Care Homes wins Nursing Times Award for tackling dehydration

Adamscourt Care Home joined forces with the NHS to tackle dehydration in care homes. The innovative hydration project was so successful, the project won the Infection Prevention & Control Award at the National Nursing Times Awards in London. The prestigious Nursing Times Awards hosted by celebrity Emma Willis, brought together over 1300 people from the nursing community to recognise outstanding work in the sector.

Full Marks on Gold Standard Assessment

We are extremely proud that during our latest Gold Standard Framework Assessment we received full marks in EVERY area of the assessment. We have been part of the Gold Standards Framework since 2013 and in 2023 we received full marks on our inspection and as a result we were put forward for the Palliative & End of Life Care Awards. We were nominated for the award for ‘Exceptional Care of People Living with Dementia’. We didn’t win this time but came runner up with a special acknowledgement. We were so grateful that the team’s incredible work was recognised but a prestigious awarding body.
